Save and restore backups
Backups keep a copy of your items’ details and photos in VintHelper’s cloud storage. You can view them and use them to prepare a new listing.
Save items from Dressing+
- In Dressing+, select the items you want to save.
- Choose the action to save cloud backups and click Execute.
- Wait for saving to finish.
- Open Backups to view your copies.
Create/Update Cloud Backup creates a backup or updates the existing one with the item’s final details, such as its title, description and price, while keeping the original photos already saved in it.
Save your wardrobe from Backups
As an alternative to selecting items in Dressing+, you can save your wardrobe directly from Backups:
- Click Backup My Vinted Wardrobe, the cloud-and-up-arrow button to the right of Refresh.
- Review the summary and included statuses. Untick any you do not want to save, for example to keep only On sale items.
- Confirm saving.
If you have no backups yet, this backs up the entire wardrobe of that account. If you already have some, it detects items without a backup containing photos and saves only those still missing. When the list is empty, the same button also appears below the no-backups message.
Find a backup
Use title or SKU search and the account and status filters. The account filter is useful if you save items from several wardrobes.
The Vinted indicator shows the linked item’s status: on sale, sold, draft or another available status.
The two dates
Backup Creation Date tells you when the copy was first created in VintHelper. Updating it later does not change its creation date.
Vinted Date is the publication date of the linked item on Vinted. It can change when you relist the item.
The sort selector lets you choose Oldest / Newest Backup Creation Date or Oldest / Newest Vinted Date. Use Vinted Date to find older listings; use Backup Creation Date to find copies you have had saved for longer.
Dates use the format you chose in Settings.
Choose columns
On a computer, the cog in the table header lets you show or hide columns. Account, Vinted and Vinted Date appear by default. You can add Backup Creation Date and Photos.
VintHelper remembers your saved column selection.
View a backup and its photos
Click the eye icon to open the details. You can check the image, title, brand, price, description and backup date.
On mobile, use Close at the bottom of the details to return to the list.
Edit the backup’s photos
Open the backup’s three-dot menu and choose Edit photos. Add images, remove any you no longer want and change their order. The first image is the cover photo.
Select photos to apply the available transformations or download them. Several selected photos are bundled into a ZIP. Save your changes before leaving the editor.
These actions change the photos saved in the backup. To change the existing Vinted listing, use Edit in Dressing+.
Edit the backup’s details
In the same menu, Edit data lets you change the title, description and price saved in the backup. Check the fields and click Save data.
These details are used when restoring an item from this copy. This action does not itself edit the listing published on Vinted.
Relist from Backups
Select one or more copies and click Relist. Review the panel’s options and start the batch, or schedule it if you have Professional.
Relisting from Backups uses the photos currently saved in that item’s cloud backup.
The Relist guide explains photo, text, discount and publishing-order settings.
Inventory and deletion
Enable SKU/INV to work with private inventory details alongside your backups. The reference and location fields are the same ones available in Dressing+.
Delete backups removes the selected copies from VintHelper. This is different from deleting listings in Dressing+: check which section you are in and what you have selected before confirming.
Import and export backups
In Settings → Advanced settings, enable Show Import/Export Backup to display this tool in Backups.
When exporting, choose to include photo files, include photo links or exclude photos. The ZIP contains backup data in a CSV. Photo links depend on those images remaining stored in VintHelper.
To import, choose a compatible ZIP or CSV and check the summary shown before starting. Then confirm the import to save the copies to your account.
This feature is still in development and cannot guarantee that every file can be restored. Do not rely on it as your only way to preserve listings. Exporting copies from Backups is different from exporting Dashboard data.
